The festival itself is free to attend. Public Chili Sampling and Beer Fest tickets may be purchased in advance or day of at the Information Booth located at the corner of 23rd Street and Strand Street. (while tickets last)

Where is the Public Chili Sampling?

Cook Teams will be located on 23rd Street from Harborside Drive to Mechanic Street and on Strand from 24th Street to 22nd Street.

How do I sample Chili?

To sample chili from the Cook Teams a Public Chili Sampling Ticket must be purchased in advanced or day of at the Main Information Booth in Saengerfest Park located at 23rd Street and Strand Street

Where is the Beer Fest held?

The Beer Fest is held at 2301 Strand Street in the Top Gallant Room, 2nd floor. There is elevator and staircase access with entrance located on Strand Street.

Visit the Chili Quest page and you can register online or download the application to print and submit by mail.

The City of Galveston has street parking with paid meters and there are multiple parking lots located throughout the historic strand district.

Is this a family friendly event?

Yes! Families are encouraged to bring the kids. Between the Live Music, 5K/1K Fun Run Public Chili Sampling, Strand Merchant Walk About and Vendors there is sure to be something for everyone!
